Ingredients
 

  • 1 lbs. + 5 oz Strawberries, frozen, sweetened, sliced
  • 1 lbs. + 2 oz Blueberries, Frozen, 12/2.5#, USDA, 110623
  • 1 lbs + 3oz Quaker Old Fashioned Oats 42 Oz
  • 1 lbs. + 9 oz Milk, lowfat, fluid, 1% milkfat, with added vitamin A and vitamin D
  • 1 lbs. + 12 oz Yogurt, vanilla, non-fat
  • 2 tsp Spices, cinnamon, ground

Instructions:
 

  1. Thaw strawberries and blueberries in a perforated pan, under refrigeration, at least 24 hours prior to use. Once thawed, discard juice and combine the berries.
  2. Combine milk and cinnamon. Whisk until smooth. Stir the oats into the milk mixture. Place into a stainless steel or plastic foodservice pan. Cover and refrigerate overnight, allowing the oats to absorb the milk mixure.
  3. In a 12 oz portion container, layer ingredients in the following order:
    • Oat mixture-use a No. 10 scoop (3/8 cup)
    • Nonfat yogurt-use a No. 16 scoop (2 oz. spoodle) Choose low-sugar vanilla variety of yogurt to minimize grams of added sugar
    • Berries mixture-use a No. 8 scoop (4 oz spoodle)
  4. Hold for cold service at 41° F or lower.
