Virtual Nuts & Bolts of School Nutrition Programs

To support social distancing, the 2020 Nuts and Bolts Conference will be offered virtually.

The Virtual Nuts & Bolts of School Nutrition Programs includes four 30-60 minute online training sessions released weekly over four consecutive weeks. View recorded sessions on essential school nutrition topics presented by the Education Specialists from the Office for Food and Nutrition Programs at DESE. All recorded sessions will be free and available for anyone to view, no registration needed. Select the topics relevant to your learning needs and view on your schedule. At the end of each session, you will have access to a survey and a certificate of completion. The certificate of completion will note the hours earned towards your professional standards requirement.

Access to the online trainings will be released at the start of each week. Weekly agendas include:

On Friday at 2:00 p.m. of each week, DESE will host a live “Town Hall” via Zoom. Presenters will be available to answer questions for that week’s material. Registration is required to attend the live “Town Hall” sessions via Zoom and receive email updates and reminders about the series.
