FISH! A Fun Approach to Team Building 

Election day is always a popular professional development day for schools and workshop instructors from The John C. Stalker Institute (JSI), of Food and Nutrition traveled to school nutrition programs across Massachusetts to deliver professional development. 

On November 7, JSI presented FISH! A Fun Approach to Team Building workshop at Danvers High School. The workshop covers four practices of the FISH! Philosophy, how to apply the four practices of FISH! to your everyday workday and recognizing the value of team engagement in the workplace.

All JSI workshops are designed to make learning fun and engaging with each other with incorporating activities to get the participants thinking, learning, and sharing ideas with one another. Activities in this FISH! Workshop include: 

      • Top of Mind Issues 

      • Best job, Worst job 

      • Play Rock, Paper, Scissors. 

      • Playstorm! 

      • Let’s Make A Day!

    These activities are designed to give participants the opportunity to practice and test out the four practices of the FISH! Philosophy that they have learned. 

    Throughout the workshop, participants increased their understanding, competency, and confidence about FISH! They engaged with each other, listened to each other, and had fun.
