Project Bread engages and supports school nutrition programs. Project Bread’s Child Nutrition Outreach Program offers free resources and wrap-around support services to school nutrition programs to increase participation in the School Breakfast Program and Summer Eats Program. Their team works directly with schools and communities, meeting them where they are to design the most impactful programs, work through challenges, and provide customized support. For over 20 years, they have worked in partnership with DESE’s Office of Food and Nutrition Programs to ensure these programs have the greatest impact on the children who need them. Here are the top 3 resources shared by Project Bread to help school districts in the upcoming school year.

  1. Child Nutrition Resources:  Access all of their many resources from here, including grant opportunities, print and social media promotional resources, templates for flyers and letters, one-pagers, best practices resources and much more.
  1. Breakfast After the Bell: With the Breakfast After the Bell legislative mandate going into effect in the fall, the Breakfast After the Bell resources will be particularly helpful to schools looking to implement alternative breakfast models. Find a wide variety of Breakfast After the Bell resources here.
  1. Resource Directory: Project Bread’s Resource Directory is the one-stop shop for resources to assist you with school breakfast and Summer Eats outreach, SNAP outreach resources, and much more.
