UMass Extension Nutrition Education Program engages and supports school nutrition programs by SNAP-Ed staff and educators working with local collaborators to design and implement programs that will meet local needs. SNAP-Ed provides follow-up materials for teachers, nurses, and food service staff in schools where SNAP-Ed educators conduct a series of lessons. The mission of the UMass Extension Nutrition Education Program is to provide individuals, families, and communities with the knowledge and skills to manage their food resources effectively and enjoy healthy foods, and physical activities for longer and more fulfilling lives. The programs are designed to promote healthy and active lifestyles. Here are the top 3 resources shared by UMass Extension Nutrition Education Program to help school districts in the upcoming school year.
