Virtual Certificate to Advance Your Career

Life has dramatically changed during COVID-19, and during these times all of us have needed to pivot in one way or another. At The John C. Stalker Institute of Food and Nutrition (JSI) we have shifted our programming, including the Certificate in Excellence in School Nutrition, to a completely remote format. We invite you to consider whether the time is right for you to apply to this program.

If you are currently working in a school nutrition program, this could be the perfect next step in your career. Apply for the Certificate in Excellence In School Nutrition program where you will increase your knowledge and skills while advancing your career. This program is the state-recognized certification identified in the hiring standards for school nutrition directors. This program can be completed over 18 months and the courses in the program include:

• Nutrition and School Nutrition Programs

• Professional Development and Communication in School Nutrition

• Foodservice Systems in School Nutrition Programs

• Management of School Nutrition Programs

• Technology Applications in School Nutrition

Each course provides 60 hours of USDA professional standards of continuing education along with a surplus of networking opportunities with other nutrition professionals. During a time, as challenging as COVID-19 this is great opportunity to invest in your education to help improve, and think outside of the box during these new and challenging times in school nutrition programs.
