Virtual Meal Pattern Workshop Returns This Fall!

Stalker Institute of Food & Nutrition, in partnership with the Office for Food and Nutrition Programs, DESE, for a live virtual Meal Pattern Workshop. Whether you’re new to school nutrition or looking for a refresher, this workshop provides practical guidance to help you confidently navigate meal pattern requirements. Gain valuable insights, strengthen your knowledge, and prepare for a successful school year.

There is no cost to attend; however, online registration is requiredChoose the live virtual session that best fits your team’s schedule. Both workshops will be held virtually from 9:00–11:00 a.m.  

Workshop Topics

Participants will explore: 

  • Nutrition standards for the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program.  
  • Daily and weekly meal pattern requirements.  
  • How to identify reimbursable breakfast and lunch meals that meet federal nutrition standards.  
  • Practical strategies for implementing meal pattern requirements in school nutrition programs.  

Live Q&A with DESE

Each workshop concludes with a live Q&A with the Office for Food and Nutrition Programs, DESE, providing participants with the opportunity to ask questions and receive guidance directly from program staff. 

Group Training Option

Reserve a meeting space in your school or district with a computer, projector or large display, reliable internet access, a quality sound system, and comfortable seating to conduct this virtual workshop as group training for your school nutrition staff.
